Today's Tip is going to be pretty short and to the point but I am positive you will use it and love it! (did you like my alliteration :) )
Do you ever need to copy part of your screen to send to someone or create steps for someone that include screens of how to do something or maybe you are getting an error message and you need to show it to your IT department or programmer.
I use print screens or snip part of my screen almost everyday. Almost daily I providing documentation with screenshots or show a feature to someone via email. I used to just use the PrtScrn button on my keyboard (if you've never looked it's usually either up by your function keys (F1,F2 etc) or if you're on a larger desktop keyboard, it might be it's own key over by the number keypad. This worked great at first - but if you use more than one screen, you get all the screens which can be annoying. Then you need to crop the part of the screen you want or edit it somehow - which isn't hard - but takes some extra clicks and steps.
Now I don't know if you do this as often as I do, but I'm guessing almost all of you have some practical need for sharing a part of your screen at one time or another. Snip and Sketch is Windows newest app for taking and editing screen clips. If you have Win10, you probably have it - but you maybe don't know it yet. Snip and Sketch is replacing the prior program - Snipping Tool. It's even easier and you can usually get what you need with 2 keystrokes. In 2 steps - I'll show you. Also - watch the super short video which shows it very simply!
That's it!
Other variations on this or additional things you can do.
So Snip Away!
If you click the window after you snip part of your screen - you will open the app. You can also find the app in the search screen in Win10 too.
Once you are in the app - you will see this toolbar where you can do other things with your snip too.
Happy Tuesday!
